Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, the Douglas House is a private house with a minimalist design dominated with white paint. This house is one of architect Richard Meier in 1973. The Douglas House is a house adapted from Les Terrasses, houses the works of Le Corbusier in 1928, located in Garches, France. Ruamh second similarity is in the form of a curved wall, and a series of spatial ambiguity staircase that connects every level of the home. The house is now owned by Michael McCarthy and Marcia Myers were renovating it with the help of Meier himself. The owner still wanted to maintain the uniqueness of this house but with distinctive touches such as paint color Meier "meier white" and Meier-designed sofa to put in the family room.
